About this independent guide
Contact Universal Credit (contactuniversalcredit.co.uk) is an independent, free guide to getting in touch with Universal Credit and finding support. We bring the official, free-to-call numbers together in one place and explain the process in plain English, so you can spend less time searching and more time getting things sorted.
What we are — and what we are not
- We are not the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Jobcentre Plus or GOV.UK, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
- We cannot see, change or make a claim for you, and we cannot speed up a payment.
- We only list official, free numbers. We never use premium-rate or call-connection numbers, and we never charge you anything.
- We do not collect personal information. There are no forms on this site, and nobody from this site will ever contact you.
How we check our information
Every phone number, opening time and web address on this site is checked against the official source — GOV.UK, the Department for Communities in Northern Ireland, Citizens Advice, or the charity concerned — and each page shows the date it was last checked. If a fact could not be confirmed from an official source, we leave it out. Our guides are written in our own words to be easy to follow; for the definitive rules, follow the links to the official pages.
Spotted something out of date?
Services change their numbers and hours from time to time. If something here does not match what you find on the official website, trust the official website — and we will update ours at our next check.
